Shipping Information

Shipping policy

  • All orders are shipped UPS or AIRBORNE EXPRESS Ground Services unless otherwise specified. The cost of shipping your order is your responsibility unless otherwise negotiated.
  • We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes.
  • Next Day Air, Second Day Air, Three Day Select and Saturday Delivery service is available at extra cost. Please call for quotation on expedited service shipping charges.
  • All orders ship F.O.B. Fairfax, VA or origin unless otherwise negotiated. Some products ship directly from the manufacturer.
  • Some items ship oversize UPS, truck shipment or require special handling.
  • It is impossible to quote shipping rates until we calculate weights, distance and shipping options. Our years of shipping experience will guarantee that you will receive the best possible rate.

Returns

  • Only authorized returns will be accepted. Authorized returns in original condition are subject to a 15% restocking fee, unless the return is deemed our responsibility. Returns will be accepted up to 30 days after shipment of order.
  • Orders for custom merchandise or special orders cannot be canceled once processed, and are not returnable.
  • Merchandise returned for credit must be shipped with a Return Authorization Number and Amato Invoice Number marked clearly on the outside of the box. You will be assigned a Return Authorization Number when you call us for information regarding returns. Please include a copy of your original invoice or packing slip.
  • Returns via UPS Prepaid. No C.O.D.s will be accepted.
  • Orders for custom merchandise or special orders cannot be canceled once processed, and are not returnable.



Damaged, shortages or goods lost in transit

  • Carefully inspect all merchandise immediately upon pick-up/delivery and note in writing any damage or discrepancies at the time that the order is signed for. All damaged goods must be reported in writing immediately to the carrier to inspection. Amato must be notified within two days of damages or shortages. All original paperwork must be kept with shipment.
  • In the event of any shortage in delivery, the carriers delivery slip must be signed accordingly, indicating the specifics of any shortage. The carrier must be notified of any shortages immediately. Amato must be notified and supplied with appropriate supporting documentation and full particulars of any alleged shortage within two (2) business days of partial receipt of goods.
  • Claims for non-delivery must be submitted to Amato within five (5) business days from the date of the invoice.
  • Amato requires customers to make a written report of any damaged goods, shortages or goods lost in transit and to forward said report, along with the packing slip (if available) by facsimile transmission.
  • Failure to comply fully with these requirements will result in Amato not assuming any liability whatsoever for resultant losses from damage, shortage, or loss in transit. Customers shall remain liable for payment in full.
